Twice turned bowls are turned once when the wood is green and full of moisture. They are then allowed to dry over the course of several months. During the drying process, the bowls warp into a natural oblong shape. They are then turned a second time, and this time, stay round because they have already dried fully.

Twice turned bowls make excellent serving and salad bowls.
